Awakening Universal Consciousness?

So what is awakening universal consciousness anyway? Its an interesting point... The way I see it is that a lot of the pain and suffering that I have experienced, and going through as we speak, is due to my small mindedness. What I mean by that is that we all get caught in the drama of events and situations in our lives.  We tend to get caught in those things that bring us down which otherwise, if we look at it from above, may not matter that much. When we take a universal view point, considering our whole life and all those things that are truly important, events and situations that we fuss over today may not seem as fuss worthy after all. I know when my 10 year old step daughter is fussing over something that as an adult I know to be relatively minor, no less important to her in the moment, I take her on a journey of universal consciousness. I ask her what is worse, the issue at hand or not having any legs. Now although this might sound rather shocking the aim of the exercise is to bring things back into perspective so that we can see the truth of any matter. That just maybe not having an ipod, because 'everyone' in school has one is not so bad.

Universal consciousness aims to help us to lift ourselves above the drama of our lives so that we may enter the realm of positivity, choice and possibility. At any given moment we have the ability to choose our reality, do I get upset or angry because the kids are being kids or do I choose to see the reality that kids are being kids and that's how it should be. Universal consciousness brings an enormous amount of peace, calmness and light into our lives. It allows us to step above the drama's that, although real, have little value in enhancing our lives. To be clear it is not the thought you have that causes drama it is the continuing thoughts that create the drama. Rather than taking the most positive action we might tend to stew on it processing the pain and disappointment. Drama just keeps us playing small and right now there is no place for small. What the world needs right now is all of us playing big, reaching for the stars, being real and letting go of the limiting self belief.

It is time to step up out of the drama, small mindedness and disbelief into a new consciousness that connects us to everyone and everything. This is not some esoteric nonsense, some spiritual babble but rather a way of being that we can all integrate into our lives. It is a process of lifting above those small minded thoughts that keep us trapped in the drama.

So this blog is the start of that journey to awaken universal consciousness and I hope to be able to provide you, with the help of others, ideas, thoughts, wisdom so that together we can all find a greater level of peace and contentment.
